In 2013 I participated in the Marathon des Sables in the Southern Moroccan desert.

The above picture is me and the rest of the Richmond Park crew. We all shared a tent. And we survived. I believe it's fair to say to we all surprised ourselves and others. I was very happy with my result, but could have done better. I'm very honored having been in a tent with such great people and athletes.
I've pre-registered for 2015 and it would be great if (from left to right)
Robert Jones, Wayde Edwards, Zoe Salt, Colin Brett, Simon Martin, Simon Triscott, Michiel Hoefsmit (me) and John Skinner would join me.
If not, I'll still love them till the day I leave this planet. :-)
